Does this sound familiar?
As a parent, you have noticed changes in your child or teen, and it is heartbreaking to watch them struggle. You may be worried about what you are seeing and even more worried about what you can’t see. You want to help but aren’t sure what to do.
You have noticed that your child or teen seems anxious. They are worrying about how well they are doing in school, worrying about what others think about them, and are striving for perfection in so many areas of their life. They are having a hard time sleeping because they just can’t seem to turn their brain off at night.
You are concerned that your child or teen seems sad or irritable. They stay in their room a lot, can’t see the positives in themselves or the world around them, and just don’t enjoy the things that they used to love. Their grades and friendships seem to be suffering as they struggle to manage it all.
Life doesn’t have to stay this way.
Hi, I’m Celia, and I’m here to help! I provide individual counseling for children and teens (ages 5-19) and provide an empathic and non-judgmental space to work together on their specific counseling needs. My clients walk away from counseling with confidence and peace, realizing that they are enough. They learn to express and cope with their emotions, and they get out of their room and get back to enjoying their life.

The Process
If you would like to work together to help your child or teen, please click here and complete the new client form. After this form is received, I will be in touch with you to schedule your child’s first appointment. After that appointment is scheduled, I will then send you a secure link to my client portal, and all the initial paperwork needed to start services is in that portal. I do ask that the paperwork be completed at least 3 days prior to the initial appointment to allow me time to review it and verify insurance.
For the initial meeting, I typically meet with you for the first part of the session and then with your child the remainder of the session. After our first meeting is completed, I will schedule a follow up appointment in which we will discuss and review the plan for services. This plan will include goals, objectives, counseling interventions to be used, and frequency of sessions.
My commitment to you, as a parent, is to collaborate with you throughout your child’s treatment. Lasting change for your child involves you! This may look different for each child depending on their age and presenting concerns. However, I will typically ask you prior to each session for any updates and progress towards goals. Parent only sessions are also available to you to assist you in helping your child or teen in reaching their goals. It is also a priority for me to ensure that your child or teen feels that their space is private and valued. I am transparent with them and often discuss keeping a line of communication open with you to best support them and their counseling goals.
During each session, we will work together to make progress towards their specific needs. It is my goal to work myself out of a job, so that at the end of our time together, your child will have the skills and tools they need to navigate their life with peace and confidence.
